Moscow Accomodation

Post by TartanSeagull on Wed Feb 08, 2012 8:56 am

Hi!

Accomodation in Moscow is pricey, so Lorna & I had a look at Hostels and we were thinking at booking say a 6 bed dorm to share with some of you lot......then she found out Sel was coming, so that was that.

We have booked a 'Best Western'

> Twin/Double room is £30pppn
> Mini-Bar, Plasma TV etc
> Free Cancellation
> Ranked in the Top 50, out of over 200 Moscow Hotels on Trip Advisor

> 15mins on the tube from the city centre
> 3 min walk from hotel to the tube
> a tube trip is 50p
> tube runs from 05:00 to 01:00

You can book it on www.booking.com http://www.booking.com/hotel/ru/izmailovo-vega.en-gb.html?sid=b5ff4e3ce2d6f4127e6eace35c9656b8;dcid=1 .... or the Best Western Website

Nobody seems to have mentioned this on OWC, a lot of folk are going for hostels at £15 a nite each, but a lot of the hostels seem to have 1 bathroom for the whole hostel to share.

There is free cancellation, so might be worthwhile getting together and booking rooms now and then ammending/cancelling once you have booked flights/venue confirmed.

I know Braiden, KK, Yog, McWhirtter & Moby are all planning on doing Russia.

Will probably be giving Russia a miss now. Got a bunch of weddings/stag dos round then and the easiest way of saving money is to just go to Portugal now.

If anyone is yet to apply for a Visa the Amalgamation have negotiated a discount with Travel Direct. Forms can be emailed on request.
