Block Bookings for Euro 2012 campaign

Post by lisbellawloyal on Sat Feb 27, 2010 5:44 am

From Andy Culbert ( ticket secretary)

I am predicting that you should be preparing your members for a block booking price around 150 - 160 mark. Part payment should be reintroduced for this campaign so a ball park figure of 80 this year and 80 next year.

The IFA will probably send out renewal requests in May for payment by the end of June

I will make sure any info I receive from him is relayed on to Club members asap.

"The Amalgamation of Official NISC recently met with the Irish FA to discuss the issue of the Block Booking scheme for the forthcoming Euro 2012 qualifying campaign.

We are aware that there are ongoing issues regarding the assessment of the capacity of Windsor Park and the possible impact this may have on the sale of Block Bookings.

However, the Amalgamation recognises that the IFA continues to work pro-actively on the issue and we believe that they will do all they can to ensure that supporters who have Block Booked for previous campaigns can continue to do so.

We feel that it is important that fans are kept informed of developments regarding capacity and ticketing and as such we welcome the IFA statement. The Amalgamation will continue to offer its support to the IFA on this important issue."

according to JR on OWC, it looks as though block bookings are going to be north of 200 (with a friendly thrown in) if you pay by instalments, but 30 cheaper if you pay in a oner. Steep.

Reckon I'll take the hit on the one payment option. Don't care if I never see another Northern Ireland friendly as long as I live.

Same with me Pete. Myself and Da vowed never to go to another friendly after Israel.
Cannot remember a decent friendly we have played in since we bate Finland away

Intital email from Andy Culbert suggests that payment will be needed at August meeting of AONISC

I will hope to attend meeting as I will still be at home and get our lot sorted out then. Half or full payment needs to made by then.

I will set a deadline date as I have done with Slovenia travel plans for some time nearer to the meeting.

Any questions give me a shout

Ed Truesdale has contacted me to ask whether anyone is interested in a spare block booking.

His BB which is normally in the South Stand, looks as if it will be relocated to the North or Kop Stands.

He has his own BB through the HNISC and he is happy for a SNISC club member to take on the ticket.

We have always said before that club members will get first shout on any tickets so this is a great oppotunity for anyone without a BB within the club to take this one on.

He is happy to tick the box and say yes I will be keeping this seat and he will deal with payments, all you would have to do is pay him

If anyone is interested give me a shout within the next week. If nobody from the club is interested then I will ask family members and friends if they are interested

Has Scobe not used this for the last 2 campaigns or am I getting confused?

if there was an effective, efficient administrative body in the middle, then absolutely.

initial soundings were taken with Windsor Ave and basically if we want to hang on to it then it would be 100% easier to keep going as it has been.

Guys

Ticket update. Money needs to be sorted by next AONISC meeting on 27th August. I may very well go to the meeting and sort out there and then

GAP has requested one of the vacant tickets for the campaign.
